Programs Include Coding Roundtables
The Ozark Area Health Information
Management Association (OAHIMA) conducted their Spring Meeting
on March 12, 2010. A portion of the meeting was devoted to a
Coding Roundtable (one CE). Trish Minto coordinated the session.
Please feel free to contact OAHIMA for feedback on their
roundtable and ideas for conducting your own in your facility or

The Eastern Missouri Health Information Management Association (EMHIMA)
is in the planning stages of scheduling a coding roundtable in
August 2010. This is a tradition for EMHIMA and promises to be a
highlight of their summer education program schedule. (mohima.org/regional

MHIMA ICD 10 Subcommittee
The MHIMA ICD 10 Subcommittee will be
meeting on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 7:00 am in conjunction with
the MHIMA Annual Meeting in St Charles. If you are already a

will be attending the breakfast meeting.

AHIMA Annual Coding Summit Chicago, IL,
July 18, 2010
The annual AHIMA Coding Roundtable Summit
is held in conjunction with Summer Team Talks and Leadership
Conference. This is an opportunity for CSA’s to showcase their
Coding Roundtable activities during the 2009-2010 year. I will
be soliciting comments from our MHIMA Regional Associations in
advance of the Summit to share with the attendees in July.
AHIMA Annual Convention, Orlando FL, September 2010
The AHIMA Coding Community workshops will
be held September 25-26 prior to the Annual Convention. Many
MHIMA members have attended these workshops in the past. We hope
more members will consider attending this year. With ICD 10 just
around the corner, this would be a great educational
opportunity.

Please don’t forget, MHIMA is still
looking for a full time coding roundtable coordinator or
co-coordinators. If you or someone you know would be
interested, please contact any of the MHIMA Board members and
let us know.
