Sherri Ward, RHIA, CCS graduated from the
Medical College of Georgia in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in
HIM. After an externship at Shands Teaching Hospital at the
University of Florida, she began her coding career in Savannah,
Georgia.
Sherri has worked for hospitals through-out the country from
Connecticut to California, in roles involving going, auditing,
supervising , and managing, both as a consultant and direct
employee.
She has frequently engaged in CCS pre sessions both in group
setting and individual sessions She is currently working at the
University of Colorado Hospitals and enjoys the continuous
challenges of the coding profession.
