The Foundation of
Research and Education is the 501 (c)(3) charitable
affiliate of AHIMA, providing the financial and
intellectual resources to support continuous innovation
and advances in health information management through
research, education, and public awareness initiatives.
The Foundation of
Research and Education of the American Health
Information Management Association provides financial
and intellectual resources to sustain and recognize
continuous innovation and advances in health information
management for the betterment of the profession,
healthcare, and the public.
The Foundation achieves this mission by:

The Foundation of Research and Education (FORE) of the
American Health Information Management Association
(AHIMA) is a financially self-sustaining entity that
provides resources for national leadership, research and
innovation in health information management for the
healthcare industry. FORE resources drive the
improvement of the discipline of health information
management and its impact on the quality and safety of

Missouri is committed to helping FORE attain its goals.
We have been very busy the last couple of years coming
up with new campaigns for supporting FORE.
In 2005, we began the
Shooting Star program, where a donation is made to
FORE in the name of those individuals who have supported
MHIMA in our endeavors.
Each year, MHIMA participates in the AHIMA Not-So-Silent
Auction and at our state meeting we have a silent
auction FORE fundraiser and FORE donation booth.
