As you know, the Kansas and Missouri Health Information Management Associations (KHIMA & MoHIMA) were scheduled to hold a joint Annual Meeting at the Overland Park Doubletree on April 22-24, 2020 and this event was rescheduled to September 30 – October 2, 2020.

The KHIMA & MoHIMA Board of Directors have continued to evaluate the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic, the possible resurgence of contagious cases in the Fall of 2020, and its effects on the rescheduled meeting. After extensive discussion and consideration, we have decided to change the meeting from in-person format to a virtual format. We feel it is the safest path to protect the health of our members, speakers, and exhibitors.
Below are important details you need to know.

  1. If your company was registered for the Sept. 30th event, a full refund will be given to those companies which registered and paid for the in-person conference.
  2. To receive your refund, please click on the SurveyMonkey link below to tell us how to refund your money. Please allow 90 days for all refunds to be processed. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6R8QJBL
  3. For those companies who were unable to join the prior scheduled in-person conference, PLEASE see the information below for a chance to virtually showcase your company.

But wait!!!! Even though we can’t see you in-person this year, we want your company to be a part of our Virtual Annual Meeting. Therefore, we are providing you an opportunity to record up to a 30-minute session about your company and how you can help health information management professionals. We will post the recording in our learning management system (LMS) where registered attendees can view it. This advertising opportunity will only cost $250.00 – what a great way to share information about your company and services, along with being a part of our virtual meeting! All recordings will need to be in MP4 format and sent to us through the MoHIMA website. After completing the registration process, the recording should be uploaded to https://www.mohima.org/annualmeeting/khima-mohima-go-virtual/ (see screen shot below). These must be loaded to the site by September 1st.

Attendees will be provided up to 2 continuing education units for viewing all the Vendor presentations. While we will sadly miss seeing our supportive vendor friends this year, we hope you will join us and share your information with all who will be logging in for education and seeing what your company has to offer!
