Many sadly have had personal family and friend experiences with the Opioid epidemic. If that’s you, tell your Representative your story and urge their passage of the bill. Others, please lend your voice by copying and emailing this message.
As one of your constituents, I urge you to give SB63 (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) your full support. Missouri outranks every other state in the nation in opioid prescriptions which is contributing to the deadly opioid epidemic plaguing our state. The Missouri Pharmacy Association needs and wants this critical PDMP resource to help combat the crisis. As a health information professional versed in privacy, I strongly encourage you to approve this bill for our patients, the doctors and pharmacists striving to care for them, and for all who have needlessly lost loved ones to this horrific prescription opioid epidemic in our state.
